In 2009, the 3M Championship donated $1,300,000 to programs at Allina's Abbott Northwestern, United, Mercy and Unity Hospitals. To date, the 3M Championship has raised nearly $16,000,000 for charity. The tournament is one of the largest donors on Tour and the largest sports-related charity in Minnesota. Charitable proceeds expect to reach $17,000,000 in 2010.

UNITED HOSPITAL

United Hospital is a community-based non-profit hospital located in St. Paul.  Proceeds from the 3M Championship will benefit their expansion of the United Hospital's Emergency Department.

ABBOTT NORTHWESTERN HOSPITAL

Abbott Northwestern is the Twin Cities largest non-profit hospital.  Each year, the hospital provides comprehensive heath care for more than 200,000 patients and their families from the Twin Cities area and throughout the Upper Midwest.

Proceeds from the 3M Championship will benefit the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute on the Abbott Northwestern campus. 

MERCY & UNITY HOSPITALS

Mercy Hospital is located in Coon Rapids and Unity is located in Fridley. In 2005, these 24-hour medical facilities had nearly 90,000 Emergency Department visits, reflecting a multi-year growth in visits that is projected to continue for several years to come.

Proceeds from the 3M Championship will benefit the launching of substantial, multi-year renovations and expansions of their Emergency Departments.
